Paris Université Club’s offence — PUC piled up nine runs on 11 hits through five innings, with production spread throughout the lineup. But the early fireworks were not enough to withstand the defensive lapses and bullpen struggles that followed.

The line score tells the story of two different games within one afternoon. Paris outscored Toulouse 9-4 from innings 1–5, but Toulouse blanked Paris 6-0 from the sixth inning onward. The Tigers’ 13 hits to Paris’s 11 reflect sustained late pressure, while the combined five errors (three by Paris, two by Toulouse) underscore the defensive inconsistency that has plagued the league this season — the Division 1 average has hovered around three errors per game in recent weeks.

The result carries no play-off implications — both sides had already been eliminated from post-season contention, as confirmed by earlier round results. Stade Toulousain closes its regular season at 10-17 (.370), good for sixth place in the eight-team table. Paris finishes bottom at 5-22 (.185), eight games behind seventh-placed Béziers.

A game that had no bearing on the play-off race but plenty of drama — Toulouse’s six unanswered runs in a dead-rubber showed fight that should carry into next season, while Paris will rue a game that was firmly in its grasp before slipping away in one catastrophic inning.
