Draci Brno vs Hrosi Brno

Hrosi seized control early and never let Draci breathe. After a scoreless first inning in which both starting pitchers settled in, the visitors struck first in the top of the 2nd. A leadoff single, a walk and a well-timed hit brought home the opening run. Draci answered in the bottom half with a run of their own — their only score of the night — to level the game at 1-1.

The tie lasted one half-inning. Hrosi reclaimed the lead in the 3rd with a two-out rally that produced another run. For the 26-time Czech champions Draci Brno, the season ends shy of the finals for the second consecutive year. The club will turn its attention to hosting the Baseball Champions League Europe Final Four at YD Baseball Arena on 26-27 September, where they will face 1949 Parma (Italy), Tenerife Marlins (Spain) and Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam (Netherlands) — per the WBSC/BCL Europe schedule.

Hrosi Brno were the sharper, deeper team from the opening pitch of the series through the final out of Game 4. The 7-1 scoreline accurately reflected a game — and a series — in which Hrosi's pitching held firm and their offence struck decisively. Kotlarka Prague awaits, and the finals will demand another level still against the regular-season champions.
