Orix Buffaloes vs Nippon Ham Fighters

Player of the match: Mizuno — his 3-RBI day and timely hitting in the pivotal fourth inning gave the Fighters control they never relinquished.

Orix managed only eight hits but two of them were Kida homers — five of their seven runs came via the long ball. Orix need to find consistency from their bullpen, which was battered for 11 runs across five innings.

Nippon Ham's depth and patience at the plate overwhelmed an Orix staff that never found an answer. The Fighters scored in six of nine innings and challenged every Buffaloes pitcher they faced. Orix's power showed flashes — Kida's two homers were eye-catching — but one-man shows do not beat lineups this deep.
