The seventh-inning comeback was the Dragons' best — and last — real chance. Eric Stout (艾速特) — Player of the Match: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 5 K, 1 BB, 100 pitches. The left-hander lowered his ERA to 1.84 and earned his fifth MVP honour of the season. He retired the first nine batters he faced and allowed only one run across six efficient frames.

Steven Moya (魔鷹): 3-for-5, HR, 2 R, 1 K, .282 AVG. His solo home run in the sixth — a no-doubt drive to right field — was the decisive blow, extending TSG's lead from 3-1 to 4-1 and forcing the Dragons to continue pressing.

Nagata Sotaro (永田颯太郎): 2-for-5, 2 K, 1 R, .500 AVG. The Hawks' leadoff man reached base three times and scored once, providing consistent table-setting from the No. 2 spot.

Marcelo Martinez (魔神龍): 5.1 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 5 K, 1 BB, 95 pitches. The Dragons' starter was tagged for a season-high five runs and took the loss, his ERA rising to 1.98.

TSG out-hit the Dragons 13-5 and outscored them 7-4, but the damage was concentrated in the middle innings. The Hawks scored in five consecutive frames from the fourth through the eighth, while the Dragons managed only a four-hit attack — their second-fewest hits in a game since the second-half schedule began. Stout's efficiency (100 pitches across six innings) meant the Dragons never built sustained pressure; they put only one runner in scoring position against him through the first five innings.

Despite the lopsided hit count, the Dragons drew four walks and forced TSG's bullpen into high-leverage situations. The Hawks' relievers — Hsu Chun-Yang (0.0 IP, 2 BB, 2 R), Chen Po-Ching (1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 unearned run) and Lee Hsin-Ying (1.0 IP, 2 K) — combined to strand five runners, a testament to timely pitching rather than clean execution.

The win improves TSG Hawks to 14-17 in the second half, keeping them within striking distance of the middle of the CPBL table. Wei Chuan Dragons fall to 17-14, but remain in second-half contention after winning the first-half championship earlier this season (39-21). With both teams facing off again Saturday and Sunday at Tianmu, the series takes on added importance for second-half positioning.

A clinical, methodical win from TSG Hawks, built on quality starting pitching and timely hitting. Stout outduelled Martinez in a matchup of foreign aces, and the Hawks' bullpen bent without breaking. For the Dragons, the inability to string hits together — just five total — against a pitcher who has now won five MVP awards this season was the difference. They will need to adjust quickly with two more games in the series.
