Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp vs Nashville Sounds

The Sounds conclude their six-game series in Jacksonville on Sunday, August 30 (1:05 p.m. ET), with LHP Colton Gordon (7-6, 4.08 ERA) scheduled to start.

Jacksonville (63-62, 24-32 second half) has lost three of five in the series and sits 10.5 games back of Rochester in the IL East second-half standings. The Jumbo Shrimp open a road series at Norfolk on September 1.

Nashville's lineup is peaking at the right time. Four different home run hitters, a nine-game hit streak from Naylor, and a bullpen that limited Jacksonville to two hits through the middle innings added up to a complete performance. Jacksonville's bats kept fighting — Acosta and Etzel went deep — but the pitching staff couldn't contain a Nashville offence that is clicking on all cylinders as the playoff push intensifies.
