El Paso's offensive silence after the third inning was the decisive factor. Matt Gorski — 2-for-4, 2 RBI. Drove in every run Oklahoma City scored. His multi-RBI outing was his first since July 25 in Sacramento, and his multi-hit game was his first since August 13. The Comets' clutch hitter of the series delivered twice when it mattered most.

Hyeseong Kim — 2-for-3 with a walk. Extended his hitting streak to a season-high seven games. Over that stretch, Kim is batting .480 (12-for-25) with a triple, two RBI and two stolen bases.

Ryan Fitzgerald — 1-for-3 with a double, walk and a run scored. Collected his 150th hit of the season, becoming the eighth player in Oklahoma City's Bricktown-era to reach that milestone. He hit safely in all seven games of the series, batting .458 (11-for-24) with four extra-base hits and five RBI.

Comets Pitching Staff — Retired 19 of the last 22 batters faced. Held El Paso hitless after the third inning. Oklahoma City has now surrendered four runs or fewer in 16 of its last 18 games.

El Paso's lone run came on the only hit they managed in the first three frames (two hits total across innings 1-3). From the fourth inning onward, Oklahoma City's pitching staff faced minimal resistance, allowing no hits and just three baserunners.

Oklahoma City finished August with a Triple-A-best 18-9 record, the Comets' strongest month of the season. They also secured their 40th home win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, reaching that total for the first time since 2023.
