Reno Aces vs Sacramento River Cats

Reno out-hit Sacramento 15-12 but lost — a reminder that hit volume alone does not determine outcomes. The Aces went 6-for-15 with runners in scoring position but left nine men on base, including multiple stranded runners in the seventh and eighth innings that could have salted the game away.

Sacramento matched Reno's 4-for-15 RISP clip but concentrated their damage in the ninth: Davidson's three-run homer, Brennan's RBI triple and Morgan's RBI single all came with two outs or earlier in the sequence, producing a run expectancy swing of over +5.0 in a single frame.
