Santos vs Dorados

Santos entered the game on a six-game losing streak (4-7) having lost 104-88 at Panteras on 21 August, while Dorados arrived with an 8-4 record and tied for second place. The home side flipped the script entirely.

Santos controlled the game from the opening tip, building an early lead that Dorados never seriously threatened. American-Syrian guard Javion Blake (191cm, 1997) continued his strong individual run, following up his 22-point, 6-assist showing against Panteras with another productive outing. Jared Wilson-Frame (196cm, 1996, college: Pittsburgh) provided complementary scoring on the wing.

Santos' second-quarter surge turned a competitive start into a commanding halftime lead. After trailing Dorados in recent meetings — including a 57-89 home loss in the 2025 season — Santos dictated the tempo and never relented, forcing Dorados into uncomfortable offensive possessions.

Javion Blake (Santos) — The American-Syrian guard has been Santos' most consistent offensive weapon through their struggles and continued to produce in the win. Blake's ability to create his own shot and distribute kept the Dorados defence off balance.

Jared Wilson-Frame (Santos) — Added reliable scoring on the wing, giving Santos a potent 1-2 punch in the backcourt.

Dorados' defence — Uncharacteristically porous, Dorados allowed Santos to reach 87 points — well above their season average of 88 points per game coming in from the Panteras loss.

The 87-63 final reflects a game Santos controlled wire-to-wire. Dorados entered as one of the LNBP's top defensive teams but had no answer for Santos' balanced attack. The 24-point margin represents Santos' most complete performance of the season, a stark contrast to the six-game losing streak where their average margin of defeat was approximately 12 points.

Santos improved to 5-7, climbing out of the bottom of the LNBP standings and snapping a skid that dated back to early August. Dorados dropped to 8-5 but remain in the top four. Santos' next fixture is away against Freseros de Irapuato; Dorados face Abejas de León as they look to bounce back.

A season-defining response from Santos. A six-game losing streak would have tested any team's morale, but they delivered their best performance when they needed it most. Dorados, meanwhile, will need to reassess after being outplayed in every phase.
