Bahamas' supporting cast — The visitors' roster featured NBA talent including Deandre Ayton, Eric Gordon, VJ Edgecombe Jr. and Kai Jones. Their collective depth proved decisive, as Uruguay had no answer for Bahamas' multi-faceted attack.

Bahamas shot 46.4% from three (compared to Uruguay's 28.6%) and 54% overall from the field. Bahamas played with the desperation of a team facing elimination and shot the lights out in Montevideo. For Uruguay, the formula that worked in the First Round — forcing turnovers and leaning on Rodriguez — was insufficient against a Bahamas side that finally deployed its NBA-calibre talent to full effect. Group F just got a lot more interesting.
