Instituto Cordoba vs Platense

Instituto struck first through Giuliano Cerato in the 14th minute. Alex Luna turned and drove forward before feeding Diego Sosa on the left, whose cut-back across the face of goal was met by Cerato's arriving run to slam home from close range.

Platense struggled to establish any rhythm in the first half. Platense had one more chance — a Gauto cross met by Bautista Merlini's header that skimmed inches wide — but Luis Lobo Medina blew full time moments later.

Tissera's goal five minutes into the second half was decisive. Platense had emerged from the break pressing higher, and the early stages of the half suggested they might find a way back. Instead, a defensive misjudgement by Agustín Lagos allowed Sosa to run onto a loose ball and cross; Tissera applied the finish to leave Platense chasing a two-goal deficit.

Diego Sosa (Instituto) — The left wing-back provided both assists, first cutting back for Cerato's opener then delivering the killer cross for Tissera. His attacking forays down the flank were Instituto's most consistent route forward.

Matías Tissera (Instituto) — Scored the match-winner against his former club, extending Instituto's lead at a critical moment. His movement off the shoulder of the defence caused Platense problems throughout.

Héctor Bobadilla (Platense) — The Paraguayan was the visitors' most dangerous attacker after his introduction. He forced Ledesma into a save midway through the half and scored a fine consolation that briefly threatened a nervy finish for the hosts.

The match stats show Platense dominated possession (54%) and edged total shots (16-14), but Instituto were more efficient: five shots on target from 14 attempts compared to Platense's four from 16. Instituto's 31 recoveries to Platense's 21 underscore how the hosts disrupted play in midfield through Gustavo Abregú and Matías Gallardo.
