Skånela open their Handbollsligan season on 23 September at home to HK Malmö. Torslanda begin their Allsvenskan campaign on 17 September away to GF Kroppskultur.

Skånela did what they needed to — win away and take a lead into the second leg — but a single-goal margin against an Allsvenskan opponent is far from commanding. Torslanda proved they can compete at this level and, with the conversion of their division-gap shootout, extracted full value from the cup format. The tie is very much alive heading to Märsta.
