Kolin vs Mlada Boleslav

Kolín struck first while shorthanded. At 12:07 of the opening period, Kristers Zvagulis intercepted a sloppy Boleslav power-play sequence and raced in alone, beating goaltender Vojtěch Mokry with a clean wrist shot — 1–0.

Matěj Chalupa doubled the lead just 64 seconds into the second period. Adam Hlinský set him up in front, and Chalupa buried the rebound after Mokry made the initial save — 2–0.

Boleslav came roaring back in the third. Jordan Martel got the visitors on the board at 41:14, roofing a shot past Jakub Soukup after Steven Jandric's feed. Just 101 seconds later, Antoine Morand hammered a one-timer from Martel's pass to level the game at 2–2 at 42:55.

Filip Pavlík then put Boleslav ahead for the first time at 46:47, his shot catching Soukup unsighted after a scramble following a Boleslav power play — 2–3.

Kolín refused to fold. Jan Závora's rebound finish at 55:16, set up by Přemysl Svoboda, made it 3–3. Chalupa then had a golden chance to win it in regulation, breaking clear on goal at 58:56, but his forehand deke failed to beat Mokry.

In overtime, Martel turned provider again, springing Vlasák on a 2-on-1 rush. Vlasák's quick shot beat Soukup at 61:06 to settle the contest.

Boleslav's three-goal salvo between 41:14 and 46:47 transformed a 2–0 deficit into a 3–2 lead. The sequence began with Martel's individual effort, accelerated through Morand's one-timer from Martel's setup, and was capped by Pavlík's shot just moments after a Kolín penalty expired. Kolín had controlled the game for 40 minutes; the third-period collapse exposed the gap in conditioning between a Maxa Liga side and an Extraliga outfit.

Kolín led 2–0 after two periods and looked the sharper side for much of the first 40 minutes, but Boleslav's firepower told in the third. The period scores — 1:0, 1:0, 1:3, 0:1 — tell the story of a game that flipped completely after the second intermission. Boleslav's three goals in 5:33 of the third period (41:14 through 46:47) highlighted the visitors' ability to raise their tempo when it mattered most.

This was a pre-season club friendly for both sides ahead of their respective 2026–27 campaigns. Boleslav (Tipsport Extraliga) will face higher expectations and used this match to test depth and conditioning against physical opposition. Kolín (Maxa Liga) proved they could compete with top-tier opposition for long stretches — a positive sign ahead of their season opener. Boleslav's next pre-season fixture is scheduled for early September.

What looked like a comfortable Maxa Liga ambush turned into a demonstration of Extraliga depth. Kolín dominated the first two periods, but Boleslav's superior conditioning and quality in transition overwhelmed them in the third and overtime. Martel's three-point night was the difference between a creditable draw and a narrow escape.
